Louise Longley
I’ve been practicing law for thirty-five years, first in Chicago, Illinois, then in San Francisco, California, and, since 1994, in Jackson, California, a rural community in the California Sierra foothills. I limit my practice to estate planning and administration, including trusts, wills, powers of attorney, healthcare documents, trust administration, probate and conservatorships. I also advise on nursing home Medi-Cal planning strategies, and Medi-Cal eligibility and asset protection matters. I belong to several national and state elder law organizations and regularly attend training seminars to keep up to date in this complex and
changing area.
Out side of my work in Jackson, I enjoy traveling to see new places, driving historical highways, and visiting Bay Area cities, like San Francisco.
Theresa Haefele
Theresa Haefele moved from Oregon to Santa Cruz, California to attend college where she obtained her AA degree in Business Administration. After completing her schooling she went to work for the Consumer Attorneys of California in their political action committee office. While working there, she attended UC Davis to obtain her paralegal certificate. After acquiring her paralegal certificate, she worked for various attorneys in the Sacramento valley before moving to Amador County. Upon arrival in Amador, she began working with Louise Longley as a paralegal for 12 years. While working for Louise, she completed her bachelor’s degree from Portland State University, and then went on to obtain her Juris Doctorate from Taft Law School, Santa Ana, California. All of this while raising three very active teenagers. Theresa’s years of working alongside Louise Longley has prepared her to be a very confident estate planning and elder law attorney.
Theresa loves to visit the local shops around Gold Country. Sutter Creek, Sonora, and Amador city are some of her favorite ares to shop.
